    Foundations Reformer Pilates

    Feel Stronger With SOMA's Reformer Pilates Classes

    Our Foundations Reformer Pilates class focuses on alignment, control and breath, using ALLEGRO 2 reformers for a full‑body, low‑impact workout. You’ll move at a steady pace, refining technique while building strength, stability and confidence.

    This open‑level class is suitable for beginners through to experienced clients, with plenty of layers for you to progress or regress in each exercise.

    Foundation: Ideal if you’re new to reformer or returning after time away, with extra focus on control and stability.

    Every session is designed to feel empowering and enjoyable. Book a class and start feeling stronger.

    Intermediate Reformer Pilates

    Take Your Reformer Pilates To The Next Level

    Intermediate Reformer Pilates is designed for confident reformer clients ready for more challenge. This class features:

     

    • More complex, flowing sequences
    • Deeper core and glute engagement
    • A steady build in intensity and endurance

     

    We focus on precise movement, smooth transitions and controlled resistance, so you feel stronger, more coordinated and in control. If you’re comfortable on the reformer and want to progress your Pilates practice, this is your next step.

    Strength

    Build Full-Body Strength With SOMA

    Strength is an open‑level, high‑intensity strength training class that combines floor weights with reformer work for maximum results.

    What to expect:

    • 15 minutes of targeted weight training off the reformer to activate major muscle groups
    • Slower, heavier reformer sequences to create deep muscle engagement and time under tension
    • Full‑body focus: legs, glutes, core, back and upper body

     

    This class is ideal if you want to build lean muscle, improve definition and feel more powerful in daily life.

    Stretch + Flow

    Improve Flexibility, Posture And Long-Term Joint Health

    Stretch + Flow is a versatile recovery and longevity class aimed at counteracting the impacts of prolonged sitting, intense training, and the demands of modern work life. Each session is crafted to calm the mind, starting and concluding with breathwork that helps you unwind, reset, and depart feeling balanced.

    Stretch focuses on:

    • Lengthening tight muscles
    • Improving posture and alignment
    • Reducing discomfort from desk‑based work

     

    Mobility focuses on:

    • Increasing joint range of motion (hips, spine, shoulders and more)
    • Correcting muscular imbalances from prolonged sitting
    • Strengthening key stabilisers like the core and hips to protect your lower back

     

    This class is perfect as a complement to strength training or a busy work week, helping you move more freely, breathe more deeply and calm your mind now and in the long run.

Can’t find the answer you are looking for?

  • SOMA offers a variety of group classes, including reformer pilates, HIIT classes, mat pilates, and yoga sessions that incorporate sound healing and breathwork.

  • Our experienced coaches and PT director can help match you with classes that suit your fitness level. If you are a beginner or returning after a break, we recommend to try Fundamental Reformer Pilates or Yoga and for confident movers you may enjoy our Intermediate Reformer or Strength class.

  • Yes, all SOMA memberships include unlimited access to our small group session schedule.

  • All of our classes are suitable for those with injuries and during pregnancy. Just let our team know in advance so we can tailor the class to your needs. It’s also essential to follow your instructor’s guidance throughout.

    At SOMA, all of our instructors are pre- and post-natal trained, so we can guide you toward the safest and most effective options for your body. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

  • You’re welcome to reschedule any class outside our 12-hour cancellation window. If you need to cancel within 12 hours of your session will incur a $10 fee. For more information on cancellation and rescheduling, please get in touch with our team.
