Improve Flexibility, Posture and Long‑term Joint Health

Designed specifically for SOMA’s professional clients who spend a long time at the desk.

Our Stretch + Flow is a versatile recovery and longevity class aimed at counteracting the impacts of prolonged sitting, intense training, and the demands of modern work life. Each session is crafted to calm the mind, starting and concluding with breathwork that helps you unwind, reset, and depart feeling balanced.

What to expect

Stretching is essential for lengthening tight muscles, enhancing posture, and alleviating discomfort caused by desk work. On the other hand, mobility exercises aim to increase the range of motion in joints such as the hips, spine, and shoulders, while also addressing muscular imbalances from prolonged sitting. These exercises strengthen key stabilizers like the core and hips, which are vital for protecting your lower back. This class serves as an excellent complement to strength training or a hectic work week, promoting freer movement, deeper breathing, and a calmer mind both now and in the future.

Real Reviews, From Real Members

As a busy executive, I need a gym that works around my schedule and delivers results. SOMA does exactly that. The limited membership means it's never crowded, and the trainers are genuinely world-class. The recovery centre is an absolute game-changer.

I've been a member for six months and the transformation has been incredible. The holistic approach combining personal training with recovery and nutrition guidance is what sets SOMA apart. It feels like a private wellness retreat in the heart of the CBD.

The reformer Pilates classes are outstanding small groups, incredible instructors, and the most beautiful studio space. I also love that the sauna and cold plunge are included. SOMA has completely changed how I approach fitness and recovery.

From the moment you walk in, you know this isn't a regular gym. The attention to detail, the quality of coaching, and the sense of community among members is something truly special. SOMA is the best investment I've made in my health.

  • SOMA offers a variety of group classes, including reformer pilates, HIIT classes, mat pilates, and yoga sessions that incorporate sound healing and breathwork.

  • Our open-level reformer classes welcome beginners through to advanced participants. Foundation classes are best if you are new to the reformer, while our intermediate and strength classes suit those with more experience. Speak to one of our trainers if you are unsure — we will happily help you choose.

  • Yes — unlimited group classes are included with all SOMA memberships. Casual class passes are also available.

  • If you are postpartum and it has been over 12 weeks, please consult your doctor before joining. Let your instructor know about any injuries or health concerns at the start of class so they can offer suitable modifications.

  • Reformer pilates builds strength, stability and flexibility while improving posture, core control and joint mobility. The spring-loaded resistance on the reformer offers a low-impact, full-body workout suitable for almost any fitness level.

  • Mat pilates is performed on the floor using bodyweight and small props. Reformer pilates uses a sliding carriage with adjustable spring resistance, which adds challenge and variety while supporting controlled, low-impact movement.

  • Wear comfortable activewear you can move in, bring a water bottle, and grippy socks (available for purchase if you do not have your own). Towels and amenities are provided in our studios.

  • Our reformer classes are kept intentionally small so every member receives personalised guidance. Class sizes are capped to match the number of reformers in the studio.

  • Not at all. Our Foundations classes are designed for beginners and our instructors will guide you through every movement with appropriate modifications.

  • Reformer pilates can be a great low-impact option during rehab or pregnancy, but please consult your medical professional first and inform your instructor of your circumstances so the workout can be tailored safely.

  • There is a small learning curve, but our Foundations class is built specifically for beginners. Most members feel confident on the reformer after just a few sessions.

  • Reformer pilates strengthens deep core muscles, improves posture and joint mobility, and develops long, lean strength — all while staying low-impact and easy on the body.
