Your Results Are In. Now What? Data Needs Action

There has never been an easier time to know more about your body. We can measure sleep, recovery, heart rate, movement, blood markers, body composition and performance. That’s genuinely valuable.

But there’s a point where another result, another score, another dashboard stops being the answer. Eventually you have to ask: what am I actually going to do with this information? That’s where SOMA Longevity comes in.

Testing matters. Understanding your health matters. But understanding your data is only the beginning. The real value of a longevity program comes from turning that understanding into meaningful next steps.

Knowing Your Health Is Different From Knowing What to Do

Think about how health testing usually works. You take the test. You get the result, someone explains what it means, then you go back to your life.

You might be told to exercise more, sleep better, manage stress, or focus on recovery. All reasonable advice. But insight alone doesn’t create change. Knowing what you could do is one thing. Having a clear and practical way to act on it is another.

Information matters, but it needs to lead to something.

This Is Where SOMA Longevity Is Different

SOMA Longevity is built around a simple idea: understanding more about your body becomes more valuable when that understanding leads to meaningful action.

That thinking shapes SOMA Longevity as a connected health program. Your health information helps build a clearer picture of your current health. Clinical support through our collaboration with MyTomorrow helps interpret that information and guide appropriate next steps.

Personalised supplementation can respond to individual needs, while Personal Trainers and movement specialists can turn relevant insights into practical changes in how you train and build capacity.

SOMA’s recovery technologies, including Red Light Therapy and medical-grade hyperbaric oxygen therapy, provide additional ways to put relevant parts of your plan into practice.

Your information, clinical guidance, movement, supplementation and recovery can work together as part of an ongoing approach to your health.

Putting Your Health Data Into Action

Suppose your testing and health information suggest that recovery needs more attention. The next step is to look at what that information means for your day-to-day health and what you can actually do about it.

Within the SOMA Longevity model, that could mean looking at what your clinician thinks is relevant, what your wearable shows over time, and how your training is affecting your recovery. Your Personal Trainer will adjust your sessions, or a specific recovery protocol could become part of your plan. When you measure again, you can see whether anything has changed.

The same approach can apply to strength and physical capability as you age, energy, performance, sleep, metabolic health, or simply understanding whether the work you are already putting into your health is making a difference.

Everyone starts from a different place. Your health information, habits and response to different approaches can help you understand what makes sense for you and what to focus on next.

The Program Is Built Around Your Health

This is what makes the SOMA model different from choosing individual wellness services on their own.

SOMA offers services such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Red Light Therapy and Personal Training, each with its own place within your health and wellbeing. Within the SOMA model, these services can form part of a broader longevity program built around you.

Your health data helps inform the conversation. Clinical expertise helps identify what needs attention. Your plan turns that information into practical steps. Progress is then reviewed over time, helping you understand what is changing and what to focus on next.

The process is simple: Understand. Act. Measure. Improve. Repeat.

Health Coaching Outcomes: The Evidence Behind Ongoing Support

Knowing what to do is one thing. Following through is another. Research into health and wellness coaching suggests that ongoing support can help people turn health information into meaningful action.

2013 Systematic Review (Global Advances in Health and Medicine): The Role of Health Coaching

Wolever and colleagues reviewed research on health and wellness coaching to understand what coaching looks like in practice. Common elements included setting goals with the patient, active learning, and accountability.

The review found that:

  • 86% of studies described coaching as patient-centred
  • 71% included goals chosen by the patient
  • 63% included active learning and self-discovery
  • 86% included some form of accountability
  • 78% involved an ongoing relationship with a trained coach

The findings suggest that health coaching focuses on helping people understand their own situation, decide what they want to change and stay engaged with those changes over time.

2016 Study (BMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care): Health Coaching and Medication Adherence

Wolever and Dreusicke studied 56 people with type 2 diabetes who received integrative health coaching over six months. Participants had regular coaching calls covering areas such as medication, nutrition, exercise and stress.

Medication adherence increased from 74% to 85% during the six-month program. Six months later, adherence was still at 82%.

The study provides an example of how regular and individual support can work alongside health information.

2023 Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis (Patient Education and Counselling): Health Coaching Across Chronic Conditions

Boehmer and colleagues reviewed 30 randomised trials looking at health and wellness coaching for people living with chronic health conditions.

The review found improvements in quality of life, self-efficacy and depressive symptoms. Self-efficacy refers to a person’s confidence in their ability to manage their health and make changes.

For SOMA, the principle is simple. Health information becomes more useful when someone can help you understand it, decide what matters and work out what to do next. The next step should feel clear, practical and connected to you.

Easier Ways to Manage Your Health

Many people already put a lot of effort into their health. They train, use wearables, take supplements, see doctors, book recovery sessions and spend time researching what could help. Each of these things has its place, but keeping track of everything can start to feel like a job of its own.

SOMA Longevity is designed to make this easier. Instead of finding health information in one place, medical advice somewhere else, and different providers for training and recovery, the aim is to bring these elements together in one connected program.

Your health information, clinical support, personal plan, training, recovery and ongoing measurements will work together. This gives you a clearer view of what you are doing, what is working and what you should focus on.

Your Next Step Starts Here

SOMA longevity program is more than a collection of premium services. Its value comes from having a clear purpose behind each one.

  • Personal training builds on what you’re learning about your body
  • Recovery supports how you feel and perform beyond the session.
  • Testing provides insight that informs what you do next.

The opportunity is to connect them. Understand what’s happening, use the clinicians, practitioners and training around you to make meaningful changes. That’s what we mean by Understand. Act. Measure. Improve.
